Hiking in the Val Venosta/Vinschgau Valley

Varied possibilities in the Stelvio National Park

Val Venosta/Vinschgau Valley is an alpine valley between Merano/Meran and the Passo Resia/Reschen Mountain Pass. Characteristic of the valley is the low level of annual precipitation. The reason for this climate is the imposing mountain chains: The Ortles/Ortler-Cevedale Group (Ortler 3,905 m, South Tyrol’s highest mountain) and the Ötztal Alps, which hold the clouds in their tracks and provide the best prerequisites for hikers and nature-lovers. Whether you climb up the hiking paths to over 3,000 metres or you hike along the "irrigation channels" in the valley – everywhere in Val Venosta/Vinschgau you will be accompanied by a mild and sunny climate. In high summer it has a very refreshing effect and in spring and autumn it offers comfortable warmth.

New hiking experience in Val Venosta/Vinschgau: The 108 km long high-alpine Val Venosta/Vinschgau trail combines various stages and finishes to a great hiking adventure...
