• Check your bicycle on a regular basis, and get a professional to check it if necessary. Brakes, lights, supporting elements, wheels and mud guards are essential for your safety.
• Choose adequate and comfortable clothing. Helmet and sunglasses are essential parts of clothing.
• Bicycles are vehicles too. Behave as if you are driving a car and respect all prohibitory and mandatory signs.
• Use cycling paths wherever possible. In this way you can prevent sources of hazard and relax on your tour.
• Cycle according to the visibility conditions. Switch your lights on at dawn and in case of fog.
• Always stop if you want to write a text message or make a phone call. The same applies for eating or drinking.
• Always take in to consideration that other cyclists might make mistakes. Do not overtake at unclear stops and allow others to overtake you by always cycling to the right.
