For those preferring sporting holidays, there’s no lack of choice in the area around the Ortler mountain and along the Stelvio Pass.
Fishing along the banks of the Adige River,
jogging and walking across the wide expanses in the valley,
horse-riding or
tennis; the range of sporting options are almost limitless.
Both road and mountain-biking fans, can enjoy a
full range of cycling options that are available in the Venosta Valley, such as quick spin to a nearby castle, or a more challenging ride around the Ortles area and even a bid to conquer the legendary Stelvio Pass Road!
There are also family walks along several themed tracks or other easy cycling trails leading along the streams such as the Agumes Bergwaal irrigation channel that can be negotiated even with strollers. Instead, for more adventurous sports-fans and hikers there are the glaciers of the Ortles mountain to try or
summer skiing.
