With an overall altitude varying by as much as 1,869 meters, 48 hairpin bends and an incredible 360˚ panoramic view, riders brace themselves for the annual Stelvio Bike Day. At the end of August, cyclists take to the legendary road leading to the Stelvio Pass, which is closed to traffic for the whole day, making way for the cyclists who take on one of the highest roads in the Alps.

The Stelvio Pass road is closed for traffic from Trafoi up to the pass (from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.). The route from Stelvio Pass to Umbrail Pass (CH) down to Santa Maria (CH) will also be closed after 4 p.m.
